The year is 2713. Kuiper early-warning sentries detected vessels of unknown configuration on a cascade heading into Sol heliosphere. No warning was ever received in-system. In less than a day, humankind was virtually wiped from their home system. The survivors came to refer to this desolation as the Collapse...
Keep the fleet together or divide the fleet, it's all up to you. Ships can travel from planet to planet whenever you need, and move in orbital spheres when around a planetary body.
Deploy ground units and base prefabs to the surface. Move units using traditional RTS controls. Gather resources to build new units, upgrade existing ones, build settlements and re-supply the fleet.
Unprecedented interaction between your fleet in orbit and the ground below. Dropships ferry units to and from the ground. Ships can attack ground units, and vice versa!
Instead of expanding outwards, in FE you take your empire with you. Keep passengers and crew happy and well fed, whilst maintaining the loyalties of factions aboard the fleet.
Procedurally generate planets based on specific archetypes. Change the settings to fit your vision, before switching to placement mode and adding ground features by hand.
Place your star and planetary bodies in relation to one-another, then define the travel connections between worlds. Add moons, asteroid belts, space stations and other POI.
Take control of placed actors through the in-game node-based visual scripting editor, allowing events and triggers to be set and configured at the scenario, system and planet levels.
Outside of the campaign, assemble your dream fleet composition below a selected point threshold, choosing between capital ships, carried units, equipped modules & starting inventory.
